Jenelle Evans to be Sued Next Week
Jenelle Evans will be sued in small claims court next week if she doesn't pay the $600 she owes to former friend Sarah RaeAnn.
Jenelle has some gig on a website called Sulia where she makes posts and gets people to their site. She didn't want to do it even though it's not clear what she was so busy doing that she couldn't make some posts on Sulia.
So she offered the job to former friend Sarah RaeAnn and promised to pay her $200 a week. After 3 weeks of promises to pay and excuses, Sarah copied posts by other people on the 4th week. Jenelle was accused of plagiarizing and promptly fired Sarah. If firing is the correct word because she never got paid in the first place.
Today Jenelle (or a new person she "hired") posted on Sulia that she didn't owe any money to Sarah because Sarah plagiarized work. That's not true, because Sarah didn't plagiarize anything until the 4th week, so Jenelle still owes Sarah for 3 weeks of work.
To some people, $600 is a lot of money. It can pay some bills, it can buy food, etc. If someone is promised repeatedly to make $200 a week, then it's not fair to not pay them after they do what was promised.
Sarah became angry that Jenelle posted that article on Sulia saying that she didn't owe her any money and posted snapshots of text messages with both Jenelle and Courtland promising to pay her. It's clear from the text messages that Sarah is owed $600. If Jenelle did not want to pay her, she should have written her Sulia posts herself.
Today Sarah promised that if she was not paid the $600 she was owed then she would take her case to small claims court to recover it. And it looks like Sarah would easily win a case.
It seems like she's not only doing it for the money she was counting on, but in response to her name being dragged through the mud by Jenelle. Jenelle has also accused Sarah of hacking her, which Sarah denies.
Hopefully Jenelle and Courtland will do the right thing and pay what they owe and get this whole thing settled.
